As we age the brow area often descends giving a tired, angry or worried appearance. A forehead lift is done to elevate the brows back to a youthful position. Modern advancements make this surgery possible by utilizing several small incisions. An endoscope, which is a small telescope, is placed through the incision and allows the surgeon to perform the procedure without the need for a large incision. The result is a quicker recovery and minimum visibility of surgical incisions.
There will be mild to moderate swelling around the area which resolves after one week. There is usually minimal bruising. Sutures are removed after 10 days. The improvement is often noted immediately after surgery.
